JUST A REMINDER THAT MEMBERSHIP FEES ARE DUE ON 1 JULY 2022

The Christmas Break up bbq was held on Sunday 12 December at the Caulfield Racecourse. A great day was had at the Old English Sheepdog Club of Victoria Inc ChristmasBreakup. With some 25 members present and their dogs we had a scrumptious BBQ under the huge pergola at the Caulfield Racecourse. It was a beautiful sunny day and after lunch we all went for a walk around the lake. Please see photo gallery page for photos of the day.

The Club is experiencing an extraordinary number of requests for puppies. Unfortunately our members who are breeders do not have any puppies at this time. We are in contact with our interstate counterparts requesting information on puppies that may be available from time to time. We are currently maintaining a list of people who want puppies and we will refer them to breeders who advise us of any planned litters. If you wish to place your name on the waiting list, please email, [email protected] This is the only method of contact for puppy enquiries.

SATURDAY 27 MARCH

BENTLEIGH CLUB YAWLA STREET BENTLEIGH

A fantastic day was held on Saturday 27 March at the beautiful Bentleigh Club with 25 members present plus 3 important guests.

A number of members chose to meet over lunch at it was great to meet up with some members who we have not seen since last year prior to the covid shutdown plus new members who we all met for the first time.

The Bentleigh Club was formerly a lovely old manner and most of it has been kept in its original state.

After lunch it was off to our specially allocated function room where all members came for a catch up and I believe the last ones did not leave until about 6pm. A great day for the club where long serving members met with new members, an exciting day.

A few of us even had a go at lawn bowls, this is where the lack of fitness in some showed up.

Throughout the day members were able to chat with our special guests, Dr Jason Evans vet, Paul Murphy from Dulux and Terry Lack from the Bayside Companion Dog Training School.

FORTNIGHTLY SHAGGY SUNDAY MORNINGS

Since March 2021 we have held our social mornings at the Bayside Companion Dog Training School (BCDTS) in Higgins Road Bentleigh.

The advantage for the Old English Sheepdog Club of Victoria (OESCV) is that, for the first time we have experienced friendly instructors, a comprehensive array of agility equipment, and a large area which is all fenced off and safe for our dogs.We also provide a morning tea which has to be seen to be believed!

The help, assistance, support, encouragement, social dog training and friendship our club has received from Bayside Companion Dog Training School has been brilliant. The bond that has developed by this union has been superb and welcomed by all who attend.
